米国の大学院受験にはエッセイ(Statement of Purpose)の提出が求められます。TOEFLやGRE、GMATといったテストのスコアも大切ですが、これらは基本足切りに使われるだけなので、エッセイが一番重要であると考えてほぼ間違いないです。

都市計画学科を目指すのであれば、TOEFLのスピーキングは26点、総合で110点近くをとっておくことをお勧めします。理由は大きく2つあります。

アメリカ大統領選の投票が昨日8日行われ、9日未明に共和党候補のトランプ氏が第45代大統領に就任することになりました。選挙戦の期間はアメリカ人と共に毎回の討論会を友人の家で、そして昨日・今日と選挙開票結果を友人の家やハーバードの大きなレクチャールームで見ました。その中で感じたのは2つのことでした。
